The Georgia General Assembly meets in Atlanta each year beginning on the second Monday in January for no longer than 40 legislative days.

Where can I find a list of ambulatory surgical centers in Georgia?

To locate a complete listing of ASCs in the state, visit the Georgia Department of Community Health’s “Find a Facility” search tool. Select “Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center” under Health Care Related Facilities and search all, city, county or zip code.

Who oversees the licensure of ambulatory surgical centers in Georgia?

The Georgia Department of Community Health has a section of their website that lists the different regulations for licensure of an ASC. Go to http://dch.georgia.gov/healthcare-facility-regulation-0.

Where can I find a list of procedures that are covered by the Medicare Program?

The US Department of Health, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issues the list of procedure codes which may be performed in an ASC under the Medicare program as well as the ASC payment group assigned to each of the procedure codes.
