The GSASC/SCASCA 2000 Joint Conference and Tradeshow was a huge success!
The Conference was held at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. We had a great turnout from attendees and exhibitors with everyone enjoying the hotel and the Buckhead area. A special thank you goes out to Gayle Evans and her conference planning committee, Jean Calhoun, Mike Pankey, Ed Luke, and Dr. Stanford Plavin for their hard work in planning the conference. This year’s February conference was a success because of you all. Thank you for creating a spectacular educational schedule!
The conference began on Thursday at noon with our Keynote Speaker, Barry Banther talking to the audience about how to become a successful leader. This session was interactive and enjoyed by all! We continued the day with sessions on overcoming managed care issue, FMLA updates and how to market your ASC.
The day ended with the opening of the exhibit hall with a reception. Friday’s sessions included topics on financial management, national industry updates and a special presentation from Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine. We want to thank Commissioner Oxendine for staying for lunch and discussing the issues facing ASCs with GSASC after his session.
We hope to see you at the August Meeting in Charleston in 2009!
