GSASC Legislative Issues  
2010 Georgia General Assembly Legislative Summary

The Georgia General Assembly convened the 2010 legislative session on Monday, January 11th. As stipulated by Georgia's constitution, the legislative session can meet for 40 legislative days.

The 2010 session marks the second session of the two-year legislative cycle. As of mid-February, the General Assembly is on track to complete the session by the late March or the first of April.

GSASC leadership, members and the government relations team are working on the following legislative initiatives:

  • Protecting CON reform
  • Protecting tort reform
  • Prompt pay legislation
  • Silent/Rental network reform
  • Workers comp issues
